Caterpillar attack!

You may think that this is a new type of plant - a fern perhaps? But no, this is all that remains of a very pretty primrose. I hadn't noticed that it was under attack but on close examination I found lots of fat green caterpillars munching away on the leaves.....

Oh well, I suppose they will soon become beautiful butterflies and the plant will get a chance to recover.
