At Home in Lambel

Hail stones the size of golf balls had no impact on a corrugated iron roof whilst dimpling the bonnets of a pair of cars we had hired and cracking several plastic garden chairs. Never before have I seen a creaking, but obviously much- loved
shed, so propped up with balks of timber and overstrung with wire wrapped
round pegs hammered into the ground. Even more appealing, photographically
speaking, was the way the corrugated iron roof had been most delightfully
curved round some of the cottage features. If only, England's housing estate
development had been less regulated. If only !
