Handy group

We had planned to be heading to Westray this week on our bikes to spend a few days camping but as Ru's broken tailbone isn't really going to respond well to cycling (or sleeping on the ground I imagine) we've had to revamp our holiday plans. Staying at home and having days pottering around pretending to be tourists.

So today we headed up to Birsay for lunch and an easy walk. Didn't get very far but it was a lovely afternoon (until the clouds gathered on the way back) and we enjoyed visiting bits of the coast we hadn't been to in a while.

We thought the group of random Orkney wildlife on this rock was as if someone had placed a selection as a preview for those who didn't want to spend the afternoon with their binoculars peeled.
