Sydney Harbour & boat trip to Cockatoo Island

An amazingly beautiful sunny day in Sydney. We walked from our apartment down to the Harbour, about a 30 minute walk.

Had a wander round the harbour then took a boat trip to Cockatoo Island on the recommendation of our landlady. Not very picturesque (hence no pic) but very interesting. It was pretty much untouched until 1839 and from then it has a convict history, an industrial history and a maritime history. Its now a UNESCO Work-Heritage listed site.

Had lunch in The Rocks area ... not sure where we'll end up this evening yet.
