Variegated Ginger Mint (Mentha x gracilis)

A couple of months ago we made a herb garden in some Belfast sinks. One of the herbs we chose was this one.At least one person out there is thinking "that's not variegated" (you know who you are!) well believe me most of the plant has yellow on the leaves it is just that this flowering stem for some reason doesn't.

It would appear there are over 1000 varieties of mint this one is a hybrid between corn mint (which I must admit I have never heard of) and Spearmint.

It is a good variety for salads marinades and drinks.
