The Gift of Print

This picture of the beautiful Mr James Mason, is from a book called Forty Years in Hollywood-Portraits of a Golden Age.
It was published in 1971 and is full of on set photos by Roman Freulich, on of the most innovative and creative Hollywood photographers. He pioneered the use of a tiny 35mm camera for proffessional on-set photogarhy in the early 30's 25 years before the industry followed him.
My copy of the book is second hand and was my first gift from my lovely man, just before we got together. When he gave it to me, this beautiful book filled with pictures from my favourite era of film making, I knew not only was he kind and caring but he actually listened to my ramblings!
