Field tour day 1 - Elwha River

Well the instream construction season has officially begun in WA. Today I staked the next round of ELJs at our lower Elwha project and got to see how the previous years structures are doing. Holy sediment and wood batman! Since both dams are virtually gone sediment is continuing to move through the reach creating bars and depositing in the floodplain with lots of wood (previously submerged in the reservoirs) racking on the ELJs. Should see lots of cool changes with the first really big flow...
