Time for a quickie....
This seriously is a quickie. I'm writing this while watching River City in the right country for a change.
Nothing much happened today. Mom went out to the hairdresser first thing followed by mass. I expect you are thinking I went too, looking at this picture.
Well, I didn't. I decided to spend most of the morning sorting through pictures from yesterday of my trip on the Waverley paddle steamer to Ailsa Craig. If anyone would like to see more of yesterday's wonderful trip, feel free to look at The Waverley, Ailsa Craig and Ayr
In the afternoon, I wandered into town and despite the fact that the weather forecast is for heavy rain tomorrow, I have got myself another trip on the Waverley booked up, this time going on the Loch Fyne cruise.
The description says:-
This is a long sea-loch which runs from the Sound of Bute deep into the heart of the Argyll mountains and is well known for fishing and oysters. At 41 miles long, Loch Fyne is just two miles short of being Scotland's largest sea-loch - to sail all the way would take far too long! Waverley sails up as far as Kilfinan Bay where she turns and heads back amidst spectacular mountain scenery.
It leaves the south harbour up the road tomorrow morning and I'll get back to Ayr at 8:45 in the evening. It sounds OK, doesn't it? Despite the weather forecast, I'll have to leave it until next year if I don't do it now.
Anyway, it was pissing down raining again after I came out of the tourist office so I sheltered in the West Kirk - where I took today's only picture - for an hour and a couple of pints before heading back home for lamb chops and spuds.
Go large...
That's it for today. Please don't assume I have fallen overboard and drowned if I don't post tomorrow's blip until Thursday. If I do drown, I may haunt you!
