I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside...

I went to see my brothers new house today...well bungalow. I think it's perfect for them.

My niece and her husband and children were there too. They are down for a few days break. It was such a lovely day that we took the children to the beach. My brother now lives about 5 mins from the sea front.

I spoilt my great niece and nephew with fishing net, buckets, spades, flags and a lilo. I don't see them that much and they were so excited to see me. They wanted to drive down to the beach in my car so we could have the roof down. We nearly regretted having the roof down when a flock of seagulls came flying overhead!

They had a great time. Eddy caught lots of crabs with his net, Laila had a fun time on the lilo and my niece and her husband had great fun building sand castles with the bucket I'd bought and put the flags on top...looked quite good.

I sat watching with my brother and his wife. It's great fun people watching. Spent a good few hours on the beach then it was time to go back.

They wanted me to stay and go out for something to eat with them. I wanted to get home and do my open water swim. On my way home I could see on the opposite side of the a12 that it had been shut. Another accident. Unfortunately it was the way I needed to go for my swim, so no swimming for me tonight. I should have stayed at my brothers and gone out to dinner with them.

I'm on a countdown to my holiday now. The sea and beach have put me in the mood for it....not that I'm going to a sea or a beach....it was just very relaxing.
