Jam making
I introduced Katie to jam making yesterday. We made a simple strawberry jam which I had on my toast this morning and it was delicious. Katie now has the jam making bug , so off we went down the Clyde Valley to the farm shop to see what else we could try. We came home with cherries, so cherry jam it was. I have never made cherry jam before and it seemed quite straightforward - until the end when the recipe stated that the cherry stones would have risen to the top to be scooped out. Ermm - they didn't. We got a few, but anyone having our cherry jam on toast will have to watch out or they will lose teeth!
