Bodnant Gardens

A lovely afternoon at this National Trust place. Such a shame the house is private, but the gardens are really beautiful.

The boys went pond dipping. They found lesser boatmen, water nymphs and all sorts of other strange things including a twig which swam! It turned out to be the larvae of something which I've forgotten....

Youngest son managed not to fall in this pond despite leaning over quite precariously. However, he DID succeed in falling in a much smaller pond which was covered in pond weed which he mistook for grass. Oh how we laughed again.......
