Archway

Sandy was pumping this morning! Started out at the other end of the beach taking in the sunrise, which was lovely, shooting rays above and below a morphing cloud, moving down the beach to take in rocks and spray. But saw lots of white water exploding at the blowhole, so moved down to check out the action at the other end of the beach.
Highlight of the morning was a monk seal coming up on the beach for a few minutes before he swam back out. Sorry, those are only fotos in my mind; I was so excited, I forgot to take pictures, sure if I put the camera up to my eye, I'd miss something he did. He beached himself within 2 feet of another photographer, bet she got some good ones.
Second highlight was on the way back home, when I saw something undulating across the road - closer, it resolved to a mother duck followed closely by 5 ducklings. Stopped the car to watch as she jumped up on the curb and across the grass strip, while her ducklings trundled along in the gutter, finally propelling themselves up, one by one to join her going through the chain link fence and onto the golf course. Safe for now. (Camera not ready for this adventure either.)
Headed home, had a nap, then went to the movies. Ernest and Celestine an animated film in lovely watercolour drawings of a little mouse and a "big, bad bear" who strike up an unlikely friendship. One saves the other and their adventures begin. It is a charming film.
Time for dishes, blip, and bed.
