The Quiet Hunt

After this morning Orcadian shenanigans we decided to revert to plan 'A' and go mushroom hunting.

The season is just starting here and bumper crops are predicted - warm dry weather followed by showers. Unfortunatley for us, all the local haunts were empty with only these wee pink numbers,Wood Blewits, and some Slippery Jack around. So although the're edible we're after Chanterelle or best of all the Porcini.

I'm sure it's the deer that get there first - they eat like kings!
