Thorns

The incredible thorns of Rosa omeiensis, a species from China. With the light behind them, they glow like a stained glass window.
The older thorns are just as beautiful if less obvious; a silvery grey like maturing oak. And the flowers are simple, and pure white.
A lovely plant.
