One hundred years and we haven't learned a thing
One hundred years ago Britain joined the First World War. The human race doesn't seem to have learned that war is a futile waste of life.
Consider what those lives lost could have achieved, the children they could have had, the moments their families lost, the women robbed of their husbands or even the men they could have married but didn't get to meet.
One of those men or their unborn children could have cured cancer or invented something revolutionary.
Lots of those men who died were actually children lying about their age.
Every life lost was a tragedy which should be remembered.
