Lest We Forget

The WWI candlelit vigil was observed in Barcelona tonight 100 years on from Great Britain's declaration of war on Germany which saw nearly 900,000 British troops killed or wounded, not to mention those of other nations.

And to accompany this moment is Vaughn Williams Pastoral Symphony inspired by his time serving in France during the conflagration.
