Rarity

Not only is a portrait a rarity for me, the (lack of) activity behind this was much rarer, and hugely welcome - a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Friends of many years standing, Mike & Daphne, visited this afternoon so as to do so before we leave. We had a very pleasant time over a lazy lunch in our garden, followed by a lazy afternoon cream tea in the garden of The Orchard, interspersed with some gentle riverside walks.

Cream tea wasn't a patch on Newton Poppleford, though.
