We will remember them

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

(I think) This is the R.A. Cap Badge of Alexander White (d.18/10/1918 in Flanders of "disease"). My Granny's brother. Another Great Uncle lost a leg in the war and my Grandfather was shot in the right hand at Passchendaele and invalided out. He had to learn to write with his left hand and became an accomplished civil engineer after the war was over.
Quite a remarkable generation.
