Dragon II
The dragons were out in force this morning swooping like birds over the drying marsh, cutting a swathe through the dallying butterflies.
I'd like to know more about them, for they appeared to be quartering the grassland like an owl quarters a field of grain, looking for the hapless mouse.
Almost quicker than the eye can see they snatch other, lesser, flies from the air, but unlike the hawk they don't seem to settle to eat. They must eat on the wing.
When they do settle, you get the distinct idea that they are just waiting. Another meal will be along in an instant.
