Rainbow Rose

Alan bought me this rose yesterday when we were in Kemp Town, the rainbow colours symbolise gay pride which is why I guess they were on sale, although I have seen them before. It's real, and I really don't know what they do to them to get the assortment of colours but it's very pretty.

I met up with Lorraine and Emily at lunch time, and we went for noodles on the pier and then when I went back to work they walked further along the beach and went to a children's play area with a paddling pool so Emily had a great time. Then when they got home she was happily playing with Milou and Bobbie in their dog pen in the garden. She was quite nervous of them when they arrived yesterday, but they're great with her and her confidence is really building. Have a look at her here with them.

Tonight I took Lorraine and Emily to see our new house, which they like, and I had a chat with Lisa the owner about a few things and she's said that she's leaving all the light fittings, curtains and curtain poles and she's even leaving us the dishwasher! She said it's old but it still works, and it'll certainly help even if it only lasts a few months. She's given me her phone number and said to call her anytime if we have any questions which is nice.

Alan's back in Belgium for a couple of days - he's actually got meetings tomorrow and Wednesday at his old office which will be strange for him. He's sent me a message to say that he's arrived and it feels like he's never left!
