Bliss

Picture the scene when I took this photo: I am seated in a thatch-covered restaurant overlooking the Atlantic where the Mira River empties into the sea, drinking a local white wine, nibbling on the wonderfully tasty Alentejano bread, waiting for the others to come, so we can feast on today's catch of fish. Not sure what could be more perfect...

Except maybe the hour's boat ride we took later up the river in a local boat with curling ends, painted with bright colours, listening to fado and other Portuguese music.

(Sorry about comments and looking at journals, but everyone waiting for me - we're in a random cafe on the way home.)
