Grey heron on the Frome

I've now back-blipped the whole of my hols, apart from Saturday, so please take a look. Some of the shots are a lot better than this one.

I have surpassed all previous laundry records: at least six loads washed AND dried today. Well, almost dry. Welcome to my post-holiday life!

Today being Monday, I also had to teach at the rehab for two hours. My colleagues had brought me a lovely rosemary plant to celebrate my having taught there for TEN years. I brought in the 'healthy cake' which was actually a load of nakd bars, last time. It seems at once no time at all, and as if centuries have passed since I began there. At my other job, some staff have worked there for almost forty years!

Apart from the washathon, I have achieved little today. My brain is still in South Devon. Presumably I left it on the bench outside the B&B in Paignton, along with my g-f cereal.

CleanSteve stopped by the river banks today, after he'd picked me up. He didn't have his camera, but I saw the heron standing stock still in the river and managed to sneak up quite close before it took off in long-legged flight. A duck is sailing into sight in the lower left-hand corrner.
