Holidays
Took the boys up to the Hilton at Coylumbridge for 4 days holiday. We checked in, dumped the cases in the room and then got the bikes off the roof and cycled along the wooded path to Lochan Eilein. Beautiful loch with a castle in the middle of it. Cameron had a balancing act on the stones and managed to keep his feet dry. Ben deliberately got his feet soaked...
We were sitting eating chocolate when a gaggle of ducks appeared and they must be used to being fed as one of they had the cheek to come right up and bite the chocolate out of my fingers! Ben thought this was hilarious and he wanted the duck to bite his, which it did:)
We had a lovely cycle back to the Hotel and sat in the large airy reception area which had a costa coffee and also sold 'flush' (Ben's word for slush puppy!!). I made the mistake of getting them one.... Cue manic running and leaping of the stairs to the bar. I think the staff are used to avoiding young children running as the waiters sort of swayed appropriately to avoid the kids. ( you don't go here unless you have kids by the way!!)
The meals are also good, plenty choice so we filled our plates with pasta dishes, pizza and garlic bread, then got another sugar rush with the puddings:)
Swim after tea, quite quiet as it was dry outdoors. My time in the pool was mainly spent catching Ben at the bottom of the flume, although he can swim underwater but not for long.
We all shared a room so you can imagine the hilarity coming from the double bed adjoining ours!
Apologies to PhillapaJ and Pokeybagel who left a comment here as it was taken on my phone and it wanted to put today (Monday 4 August as the date)!
