FOR KING & COUNTRY !

Incredible to believe that it was 100 years today that Great Britain entered the Great War or World War I as it became. This was the war to end all wars, but as we now know it didn't.

I guess most of us will have known someone who fought in this war. My collage shows pictures of my Grandfather C along with memorabilia from Great Grandfather T & Carol's Grandfather G. All of them did their bit and fortunately all of them came back, unlike so many millions who did not;

It is estimated that there were as many as 37million casualties during the Great War of which 16million died.

There will be lots of ceremonies taking place today commemorating this catastrophic event, which changed the face of the earth.

We Will Remember Them.....
