Let's remember

Sorry this is a photo of a photo but I think it's very important.

I nipped to the supermarket this mornings and found some ladies making a wall display to commemorate the sacrifice the local community made 100 years ago. These lads were heading off for an adventure. I don't know how many came back but I'm guessing not many.

To paraphrase Mrs Beachy of Lincolnshire, it's not a sacrifice when their lives weren't given willingly.

It's scary that despite everything, it could happen again.
