Ouch Snap
This morning got an email from son J in UK with an attached photo of his swollen upper thigh. During a bike ride over the Sussex Downs at the weekend he had been stung by something causing massive swelling and pain, even making walking difficult. Had to get pumped with antibiotics. He's used to stings from all sorts even horse flies but has no idea what this was.
After that went to the horse stables and found Asyr with two massive bumbs on his neck, one a bit bloody but probably from rubbing. I was shocked, they were far bigger than they appear on the poor photo sent to Angie via an App for diagnosis.
Angie called vet and he said he would come by. He did but at 18:00. I had spent the whole day waiting for him. The bumps themselves had more or less diappeared, replaced by the whole neck swelling massively. Seemed his ability to breath would soon be cut off.
Vet was quite amazed and pumped him full of jabs. He reckons it was some flying insect, but what?
Oh well, hope J's antibiotics hold for his visit next week.
Didn't get much done today..................
