Contrast
A slightly mad blip for a day in which delaying a walk for a couple of hours meant the difference between being drowned in torrential rain and staying not only dry but also in sunshine for most of the time. This great flourish of pampas grass is one of two beside the walls of Toward Castle gateway, and by standing behind it I was able to capture not only its lovely golden tassels but also the sunny foreground of Toward and the louring clouds further down the Firth of Clyde. Arran had an interesting cap of extra white cloud against the purple, and might have been today's blip had I not preferred a rather cheerier subject.
By the time we got home it was raining again.
