Good friends left after breakfast today - it has been good having them here for a few nights.

Tonight is my first night alone in our home in France so it has been good to have the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games to watch. Glasgow has done a great job hosting the games and the atmosphere has been amazing during the bits I have been able to watch.

Watching Kylie is slightly sobering though as she looks fantastic and I can't believe I am the same age! She certainly had the stadium rocking.
