Shetland Rose

A warm day but mostly cloudy while I was at work in Lerwick. I got home to Cunningsburgh after work and a glorious evening of sunshine :)

A busy day in the museum today with a large line of folk waiting at the door before we opened. Th e busy day continued in the afternoon with fiddle classes on for the Shetland Fiddle Frenzy, which is on this coming week.
A quick Sunday tea of macaroni cheese and dashed out the door with Sammy dog to enjoy the sunshine :) Now off to work in the pub but I do get a day off tomorrow :)

Walking along the small slow country roads and summer smells are all around. The hay and grasses, wildflowers and garden flowers and then the lovely smells of the honeysuckle and the old Shetland Rose Bush. I don't know the right name for this flower but I've always known it as the Shetland Rose. A wonderful sweet smell and I have plenty in my garden too :) There is another Shetland Rose and that's an old can of McEwan's Export crumpled in the ditch :) Photo taken at Greenmow, Cunningsburgh.
