A Right Royal Adventure
So we set off to visit Tomb of The Kings. Naively I thought this would be an architectural site of wonder.
We headed down a road called Tomb of The Kings Road, again full of assumptions , silly me .
A sign entitled Tomb of The Kings had a large arrow so we duly followed it
In retrospect the 8 foot locked gate should have been a give away but we were not to be dissuaded and climbed under it.
A walk down a dirt track: no tombs.
A walk across an amphitheatre : no tombs
A walk past a lighthouse : no tombs
A walk down another dirt track and up and down a hill: no tombs
We were met by another 8 foot gate , this one we unclimbunderable ( it's a word, trust me ) so we had to climb over it : this went well in sundresses and floppy hats . By the time we had finished we had drawn quite a crowd .
Apparently we were in prohibited land and we never did find the bloody tombs .
It didn't matter we got another walk at sunset and hey we were on holiday so it's all grand .
