FACING THE PAST

Today the congregation of St Bryce Church faced backwards to focus on the War Memorial Window so that we might reflect as will the rest of the country tomorrow on the start of the First World War. Because of the lighting and the fact that this picture was shot on Olive's BlackBerry as the congregation gathered no justice is done to the window but I will remedy that in days to come.
A thought provoking and meaningful service was experienced by the members present acknowledging the human tragedy of War and the inability of the human race to compromise in the face of potential conflict.
