Scramble

There were about 40 bikes competing today in our Kilns field. When I went to watch , the paramedics were busy loading a rider on a stretcher into the ambulance. In the first race there had been a crash and they think his shoulder is broken.
The older bikes certainly had a better roar than the modern ones,and the smell of bike oil and the noise added to the fun.
