Deserted

Another warm and sunny day and we decided to go to the China Garden Restaurant in Great Dunmow for Sunday lunch; they do an excellent ‘all you can eat’ buffet. Then we went for a walk beside what is called the ‘Doctor’s Pond’ where there were people fishing, picnicking and relaxing in the sunshine. There were also a large number of ducks as well as a flock of Canada Geese, on the water and on the grass around the pond. Despite just having eaten an enormous lunch we stopped at a tea shop by the pond so that the GOG could have coffee whilst I had an ice cream. Then we went for another walk away from the town, before returning to the car via a different route. Today’s picture shows the High Street looking deserted, but this was taken between cars!
