Workhouse 1776

Thanks for all your comments yesterday, and apologies for not commenting so much this past few days.

This is another of Wokingham's very old buildings, this one 1776. It used to be The Workhouse, and according to legend, the small window on this side elevation is where they used to pass out dead bodies during the night so as not to attract attention. I cannot understand why the present owners of the building are allowed to attach this horrible advert to a historic building!
