Too late!

Today Mum and I spent the day gently pottering. It was her 8 x 10th birthday (she doesn't like us reminding her of her age!), and she decided she wanted a solar water feature. So we trotted off to the local garden centre to have a browse, before ending up buying one at a nearby DIY store! We then went to Lullingstone Country Park for lunch before heading next door to a Lavender farm shop.

Unfortunately, I was too late for spectacular lavender fields as the harvest finished last weekend. I liked the way the light was catching the newly cut bushes though, and hope this deliberately angled shot works as my entry to chantler63's august challenge: Saturday shadows and shapes

Our day was completed by a lovely family meal at a local pub restaurant.
