Pittsburgh has been described as the only city in North America with an entrance. If you drive in from the airport you see almost nothing of the city, just freeway and then a tunnel. But, as you come out of the Fort Pitt Tunnel, the city suddenly opens up in front of you.

I tweaked the pic with an unregistered copy of Photomatix, hence the inadvertent advertising. Maybe some of my tax refund (if there is one) can go to registering it.
