First week of our holidays and we're just back from a mini tour round our friends.

Saturday was a BBQ at Derek & Heather's in Edinburgh. They have a 9 month old baby (Harris aka TOTAL DUDE) and Arlo was still the first person awake on Sunday morning. Ooft.

Sunday was Sorcha's 4th birthday party so we headed down to Dunbar. One night turned into two nights (that's what happens when you don't wake up till 12.15pm and get a Bloody Mary thrust into your hands as soon as you open the bedroom door. Slurrrrp!) and then we headed over to see Lynne in Duns for the night.

Our first official day trip was today - Cairnie Fruit Farm - which I can't recommend highly enough. Loads for the kids to do, plus a gigantic maze and then you can pick your own fruit before heading home.

The kids loved it. And then they both got sore tummies. And then Ida had a horrible toilet related accident and Arlo was writhing around the car in pain with a sore tummy and then they both cried all the way home in the car. And then Ida was totally back to normal, but Arlo had a horrible night of growing pains in his legs and an agony tummy.....

Funny how things can shift so dramatically when kids are around. Up till the agony tummies, though - it was a bloody great day out.
