PAINTED TURTLE

My Son-In-Law noticed this painted turtle sunning on a log among the reeds and lily pads by their dock. I’ve never blipped a turtle before, so I’m glad he found it for me. Usually turtles will scurry back into the water if humans are nearby, but this one stayed put. I can’t figure out what this little guy is doing with his legs – highly unusual for the back legs to be sticking straight out. Maybe he was unable to push himself off the log.
