In stitches
Any hint of summer disappeared today and we were thrust back into the dreich depths of November or February. We had a cultural day dashing between the raindrops to Coburg House in Leith for their summer open studios event, always a good show and plenty of interest. A damp, steamy bus ride later took us past the Scottish Parliament which has the Great Tapestry of Scotland back on display. Andy hadn't seen it before so Mum and I went back in for a second visit. It's well worth a look, there are around 160 embroidered panels completed by groups from all over Scotland. There is also a new edition of a 'peoples panel' so you can stop by the Parliament and if you get through the airport style security, you can add a few stitches to the panel and put your name in a book for generations to come to know who did the wonky sewing. This is Andy enjoying a spot of stitching!
