At Last They Are Here

Today Jill had left her hiding spot (see previous Blip). She was in the middle of the garden and then I saw them, peeping out from under her wings. Of the 8 eggs she had been keeping warm, 7 chicks have appeared. She is very aggressive and protective of them, but they all seem fine. Jack (Dad) is equally proud and cock-a-doodling even louder.
