Eagle At Entrance To Fossil Bay
I watched the eagle most of the day standing sentry at the entrance to Fossil Bay on Sucia Island in WA state...it never left it's perch. Just before dinner we took a dinghy ride around the bay and headed to the entrance to get a closer peak at this majestic bird. We watched it for 15 or 20 minutes...so amazing to see up close. It reminded me of the 4 days I spent last month watching the baby eaglet getting ready to fledge (which as you all know, I missed), but I continue to get updates, like the sequel story in the Portland Tribune.
