Arctic Skua

Spent quite a while watching this Arctic Skua this morning while he was waiting for the Terns to feed up and then swoop down on them in the hope of catching some dropped goodies. He had a definite tactic of watching then flying away from them before turning round and swooping down low and then up to them.

While it can't be seen in this photo he is ringed on his left leg although not able to make out any marks on the ring. Must be the placed for ringed Skua's as from almost the same spot in September 2012 there was another ringed bird.
