Day of Stitch

According to the Embroiderers' Guild website, today is National Day of Stitch. I can't quite put my finger on why this sounds better than National Stitch Day.

These are two of my efforts done about ten years ago. The top one is based on the works of Clarice Cliff and it won me first prize at the annual Village Produce Show in 2004. The bottom one is a design by Michael Powell.
