The Cat got out....
We have the most talented group of actors living close by us, The St. Ann's Players, who work together, under the direction of a fabulous woman, Bev Brett! She has been putting on plays for over 30 years in this area! What an amazing treat it is to have such a great group!
They put on a few presentation each year, and this evening Terry and i went to see the last night of a set of 3 plays that has played for 9 nights . It was amazing!
The first play, Vision, by Alistair MacLeod was a somewhat harrow tale, sprinkled with the typical black humor that is Cape Breton! the stage was pretty astonishing.....very large draped canvases, with images of Cape Breton projected on them....i loved the simplicity of this dramatic effect!
This shot was taken during the second play....Don't Let the Cat Out, written and directed by Bev Brett. It was hysterical......Sue, who played the female cat in heat....did a fabulous job of portraying a horny cat!!!
What a nice change of pace, some theatre, some chatting with friends, and now a glass of wine...it is after all friday night!
