HP Deskjet Plus
This was the first Deskjet printer that I bought at work, the predecessor of many. It was HP's second Deskjet model, released in 1989; it printed 2 to 3 pages per minute, monochrome. I think it cost us about £600, which was about a quarter of the price of a laser printer at that time, and the quality was very similar to that from a laser. It made a wonderful change from the noisy dot matrix printers that we had to use for most purposes at that time.
I photographed it today because it has to go to the recycling centre tomorrow. I am forcing myself to thin down my collection of old technology.
