Still Life Without Arty Farty

Hubbyhoughtfully bought me some lovely roses today so I would have something to blip. I took about a hundred shots and it took me longer to choose an entry than it did to take all the shots. I changed the photo twice before publishing.
No arty farty today as I wanted to capture the delicate colours.

I have just found the August challenge by chantler63 and decided to include this entry into Foody Friday. Rose petals are edible and make wonderful decorations and garnish. They can be used fresh, dried or crystallised. (I used to make crystallised rose petals and violets in a previous, less hectic life!)
