Neptune at Woolbeding

The original statue incorporating a fountain is at one of the museums in London. This is a replica with quite an extraordinary story. Apparently it was stolen not long after its installation,was discovered in an auction house in Australia (I kid you not) ,re-bought by its current owners and shipped back to Woolbeding. . . firmly fastened down this time!
