Mike the Sh*te

My roll of bad luck for days out seems to be continuing.

Me and the kiddies went into town today to meet grandma and grandad and to see the Mike the Knight event in the shopping centre.

We had a lovely lunch sat outside in the sunshine and P had a play in the water fountains. A potter around the shops and then into the main square to see Mike. We were 20 minutes early but we got a great spot up on the balcony. There was already a large crowd gathering below.

So we waited....p was starting to get tired but still very excited.... we waited a bit more and then 2 minutes after the show was due to start we were told it had been cancelled! Mike the Knight wouldn't be here for another hour. Lots of very disappointed children, including P, as the crowds started to disperse. We weren't prepared to wait another hour and anyway grandma and grandad had to make their way to the airport.

All very disappointed as we made our way home.
