Between fen and mountains

Pla Guillem

I went for a walk today with the walking group, a six hour walk up to the Pla Guillem at 2277 metres. We set off in cloudy conditions but it cleared on the plateau and we had sunshine all afternoon. Half an hour after getting back, the storms rolled in and it is now raining cats and dogs. We were lucky. We had lunch outside the refuge and saw the shepherd's yurt which is much more comfortable than his old stone hut. Photos of the refuge, the yurt and other points on the walk can be seen here.
