Will You, Won't You, Will You, Won't You?

A welding, in town.

Tis tradition in this little town of ours, for the commoners (me and suchlike) to gather outside the church and gaze adoringly at the arriving guests, oooh, and ahh over hats, and dresses, and sometimes giggle at the height of the shoes, (and the height of the skirts).

I have photos from me mam's wedding of folk doing the same thing... And my sisters wedding. (I did the appropriate thing, and married in the evening, away from prying eyes).

Shop keepers stop, and waiver back and forth between keeping watch over their stock and customers, and watching for the arrival.

As I wandered along the road today, waiting himself to have a hairycut, I was drawn to the gathering by the noise of the Bagpipes.

By the time himself joined me, Mhairi's Wedding had been played five times... and this action replayed itself over, and over and over. I think they were becoming a tad concerned about the Bride's Prerogative.

The people who had been standing watching, had left, and a new gathering had begun.

After a delay of 25 minutes, turn up she did, and very nice she was too.

But I loved the look on these chaps faces tho!
